A popular Philippine reality TV series which features life stories made a magnificent portrait of the life of a Filipino Maid in the US during a special episode. It was a special on Overseas Filipino workers. The life of the Filipino was considered portraying because she worked for an American woman dying with cancer. The woman was tragically alone and had strong negative views in life. It took one Filipino to change all that.
The story is heartwarming and interesting because viewers are taken aback by the tragic life of the American woman. It was a tear jerking series because her one and only maid was her only companion in life. What started as an annoying professional relationship turned into real friendship that neither life nor death can separate.
That's what makes the Filipino maid special. In the series, at a time when her employer was being rude and experiencing the most difficult time of her life, she insisted her faith and hope and never left her, not once. True enough, Filipinos indeed stand firm and strong beside their employers to prove their loyalty and devotion.
